Digital Transformation Case Study
The ReAlignment Group of California is a construction consulting firm for many of the most renowned landmarks in the USA (eg. Stanford Hospital, LAX Airport, Salesforce Tower and Google Campus).
After building a lead generation system to fill their pipeline with dozens of new client opportunities every month and getting a better understanding of their business, we proposed a digital transformation strategy that would enhance their operational efficiency, revenue growth and enterprise valuation.
At the time, their revenue was highly limited by their time constraints. Even with top-of-the-market consultation rates, they were still only so many business days in a year they could operate on (much of which was spent on non-value-added activities including flights, long drives and hotel check-ins). Hiring was also difficult because their specialized expertise required a very niche professional background along with extensive training.
To remove these growth constraints, we helped the firm develop a virtual training platform as an entry product for new clients and as an upsell subscription product for existing clients.
The virtual training platform’s lower price point allowed more construction firms to access their expertise even if in-person engagements exceeded their budget.
On the other hand, existing clients happily purchased virtual training subscriptions as their teams achieved significantly greater outcomes by retaining the information within in-person engagements more comprehensively.
In the past, the firm often facilitated only 1 to 2 building projects per client company (due to time constraints and differing preferences of project executives), despite companies (multi-billion dollar construction firms and real estate developers) generally building dozens of projects at any given time.
The virtual training platform enabled more project teams in client companies to gain introductory exposure to the firm’s expertise, while also helping client company executives standardize more effective practices company-wide.
This virtual training program is now adopted by many of the largest construction firms in the USA including Lennar, McCarthy & PCL Construction.
